"REFWEB" is a medical report form accessible via web by an internet browser; it allows the recording of medical consultations and diagnostic procedures as requested by protocols for managing Emergency Rooms and Clinical Wards.

The CBIM Consortium

CBIM - Consorzio di Bioingegneria e Informatica Medica is a no-profit making research consortium aimed to promote the developed ICT applications in Healthcare areas.

CBIM main activities are:


  • Designing Health Information Systems (HIS),
  • Developing operational tools for facilitating purchasing procedures in Health related areas,
  • Designing advanced web based information systems,
  • Setting organizational models for managing advanced biomedical instrumentation and technologies,
  • Promoting training paths for health personnel.

Most remarkable e-health research commitment arises from Italian Ministry of Health, Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Italian Regional authorities and IRCCS (Hi-specialised Excellence Centres).

CASE HYSTORY

RFID localization service: CBIM implements a pilot study at the Emergency Department in Varese

Tecnologia RFIDCBIM has embedded localization services based on RFID technology in its software for managing Emergency Rooms.

The pilot study is currently under implementation at the Emergency Room of the "AO Ospedale di Circolo Fondazione Macchi" in Varese.
